When To Use:

Apply to clean, dry skin after treatment products. May be used daily as needed to restore hydration, calm irritation, and support the skin barrier. ZO recommends applying before high-molecular-weight products such as Growth Factor Serum and 10% Vitamin C Self-Activating.

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding:

This product contains retinol and retinyl palmitate. Clients who are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding should consult their healthcare provider before use.

Who Should Avoid:

  • Clients with known sensitivities to retinol or vitamin A derivatives
  • Clients with allergies to soy, shea butter, or coconut-derived ingredients
  • Clients seeking an oil-control moisturizer may prefer Renewal Crème
  • Clients who cannot use retinoids

Aura Notes:

Recovery Crème is one of our favourite hydrators for clients whose skin feels dry, irritated, compromised, or simply overwhelmed. Unlike a traditional moisturizer that only provides surface hydration, Recovery Crème helps support the skin barrier while delivering ingredients that improve resilience, firmness, and overall skin health. We often recommend it for clients experiencing dryness from retinol, exfoliating acids, professional treatments, seasonal weather changes, or a compromised skin barrier.

Compared to Renewal Crème, Recovery Crème is richer, more nourishing, and better suited to moderate-to-severe dryness, redness, and sensitized skin. It's an excellent option for clients who feel like their skin "just can't get enough moisture" or who need additional barrier support while using active skincare products. The fact that it's fragrance-free is an added bonus for many sensitive skin types.
