Cosmetic Injectables

Xeomin is a refined neuromodulator injectable designed to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movement. By gently interrupting the nerve signals that trigger muscle contractions, Xeomin allows the treated muscles to relax — resulting in smoother, more refreshed-looking skin.

Common treatment areas include frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Xeomin can also be used in select areas such as the neck, jaw muscles, lip lines, and to improve the appearance of a gummy smile, depending on individual needs.

Dermal fillers are injectable, gel-based treatments used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and soften the appearance of lines and creases. As we age, natural volume loss can occur — fillers help replenish this volume for a balanced, youthful result.

Dr. Gouws works with both hyaluronic acid fillers and Radiesse®, carefully selecting the most appropriate product based on the treatment area and desired outcome. Results are subtle, natural-looking, and tailored to enhance your unique facial features.

Xeomin works by temporarily blocking specific chemical signals between nerves and muscles. When these signals are reduced, targeted muscles relax, minimizing the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles. Xeomin may also be used therapeutically for certain medical concerns.

Dermal fillers are placed beneath the skin to add volume, smooth texture, and refine contours. Depending on the product used, fillers can also stimulate collagen production for longer-term skin support.

  • Visible results with minimal downtime

  • Softens fine lines and wrinkles

  • Restores lost volume and enhances facial contours

  • Non-surgical, quick treatments

  • Subtle enhancement that preserves natural expression

  • Treatment Time
Approximately 15 minutes, depending on the treatment selected.
  • When Results Appear

Xeomin: Results typically begin to appear within 3–7 days, with full results visible around 2 weeks.

Dermal Fillers: Results are visible immediately following treatment. Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur and is a normal part of the healing process. These effects typically subside within a few days to two weeks, as the filler settles and final results refine.

  • Recommended Schedule
Xeomin treatments are typically performed every 3–5 months.
Dermal filler timing varies based on the treatment area and the type of filler used.
  • Post-Treatment Care
Avoid massaging or applying significant pressure to the treated area unless directed by your provider. Refrain from strenuous exercise for 24 hours following treatment. Avoid excessive heat and direct sun exposure for at least 72 hours. When outdoors, protect your skin with SPF 30 or higher and a hat.
